"Well, actually, my name's Koushiro," Kite said, unaware that Sora already knew this from the single off-hand mention by his mother a few weeks ago when he had called. "Sounds way too fancy, don't you think? I think it says something awful about our society when your parents up and name you after some anime character they liked as a kid..."
    Sora burst out, "Ah-hah, I knew it! You're named after an anime character too!"
    Kite boggled at him. "You are?"
    "My dad told me for a few years I was named after the main guy from some videogame," Sora said, realizing a little too late that he was talking personal information again, and that it was too late to stop now, "but after he left my mom gave me the ugly truth: it's from Digimon, of all stupid things. It was a girl character, too, because they were expecting a girl..." He trailed off awkwardly, as Kite began to laugh. He turned bright red, complaining, "It's not that funny!"
    "It is, actually," Kite said brightly. "Don't feel bad. I have a few girl classmates named after boys, and that's even more embarrassing. Actually," he added as an afterthought, "isn't there a Koushiro in Digimon too?"
    "But not a girl."
    "Not a girl. Granted."
    "But you sound like a girl, so I guess it evens out."
    "Well, I-- Hey."
